The Free Platform Score was built by Mat Caniglia (Matias Caniglia), founder and CEO of Clouditive. The questions and scoring rubric are derived from the Foundations Framework, the proprietary platform engineering method authored by Mat. Eighteen years of platform engineering field work distilled into a fifteen minute self assessment.

What is the Free Platform Score assessment?

The Free Platform Score is an interactive self assessment that measures your engineering organization platform maturity across the five Foundations Framework pillars. Delivery Reliability, Signal Integrity, Cognitive Absorption, Security and Compliance by Default, and Operational Accountability. It takes five to fifteen minutes, adapts questions to your cloud provider and container orchestration, and produces a DORA tier classification, an AI maturity score, a maturity radar, and a stack specific 30 60 90 day roadmap.

How does the Free Platform Score relate to the Foundations Framework?

The Free Platform Score is the public version of the Horizon phase scorecard used in every Mat Caniglia engagement. The full Horizon phase produces a deeper maturity radar applied by an external assessor.
